Comprehensive Rehab Taking Steps To Protect Clients & Staff During COVID-19

At Comprehensive Rehab, the safety of our clients and staff members is our top priority. During this COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken extra steps and precautions to help prevent the spread of the virus.

At The Clinics

Our clinics are open, and at our four Iowa locations -  Clinton, Muscatine, Davenport and Maquoketa - we are following the CDC’s COVID-19 guidelines and have increased our cleaning and disinfecting procedures.

Our staff and therapists wear masks and participate in regular temperature checks as well as COVID-19 symptom screenings.

At our Clinton office, our waiting room has been reconfigured so all chairs are at least 6 feet apart to maintain social distancing recommendations.

Plexiglass dividers have been installed at all service windows to protect both our clients and our staff.

During Appointments

To minimize the number of people in the clinics at any given time, patients are asked to wait in their vehicles in the parking lot until their appointment time. No guests are allowed to accompany patients into the clinic.

All clients are encouraged to wear masks, and we do have masks available should you forget to bring one. We also will conduct client temperature checks and COVID-19 symptom screenings.

It’s very important to us to continue therapy sessions with our clients during this time in order to prevent regression and build upon progress we’ve made.

We condensed our schedule and offered shorter business hours initially, but were still able to accommodate patients who chose to continue their therapy at the clinic.

For other clients, we were able to conduct telehealth sessions via video chat. For those without access to video conferencing, we made phone calls to check in.

We continue to offer remote telehealth sessions for clients who’d prefer to meet virtually instead of in person at this time.

In the Pool

For clients needing aqua therapy, our therapy pool - located in Clinton - is open and available for sessions. Initially the therapeutic pool was closed, but we requested an exemption from the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Because we provide therapy one-on-one in the pool, our request was granted and we were able to reopen the pool.

Using Our Transportation Service

Our complimentary transportation services are available for patients who need it. Our skilled transportation assistants wear masks and our transportation van is cleaned between each patient. Armrests, door handles and other contact points are all wiped and sanitized for your protection.

Looking Ahead

Our therapists and staff members appreciate being able to work one-on-one with our clients. New clients are always welcome, and our opening hours will continue to expand as we work to resume normal patient services.
